CARRIE NATION QUILT, 6″, Light
This block is named for Carrie Nation, a radical proponent of the temperance movement that culminated in the Prohibition of alcohol. She is famed for attacking taverns with a hatchet!
The Carrie Nation Quilt block was first published in the Kansas City Star in 1940.
